Have you heard about Purblack Shilajit? It is a live resin used as a naturopathic healing food in Ayurveda and European medicine. It has many health benefits listed. I have heard from friends that this stuff is awesome and One 2 Try. Based on referrals from friends and the glowing reviews of the product on Amazon, I wanted to give it a try. I figured it could not hurt.
I was provided a 2 weeks sample courtesy of Purblack. I started out with an open mind.
My experience – when I first got the smaller size 7gm jar the resin seemed to be rock hard in the jar. I was having a hard time getting any product out. I learned to use a butter knife to pry a small amount out. Once I finally was able to get some out, rolling it my hands makes it pliable to roll into the pea sized ball recommended dosage. Drop the ball into warm water and stir a few minutes until dissolved. It will dissolve creating a brownish color water. Then drink the water down.
Gulp, Gag! I found it hard to take the Purblack water straight due to the powerful sulfur like taste. I added a little honey to make it more palatable. Better, but I still could never finish the entire glass. A friend suggested adding it so a juice, I never tried it that way.
I tried another dose suggestion – swallow the pea size ball on a spoonful of honey then follow with water. That technique was easier to have no taste in my mouth, but then it gave me an upset stomach. I stayed with the dissolve in water method and I got used to the taste.
My results – In the 2 weeks I have been sampling it, I can honestly say I have not seen any significant results. Many reviewers have mentioned energy, better sleep and more glowing reviews. I have not seen any health changes as described including any effect on sleep. Maybe I need to try it longer. I may fall in the category of it takes a bit longer people. I was hoping for much better results.
One thing that others around me noticed – it made me a little angry. I was snapping at everyone and everything! It happened as soon as I started taking it. I tested it by not taking it for a day or two, no anger on those days. There are very little side effects listed for Purblack and anger is definitely not listed. Strange coincidence? Supplements can affect people in different ways.
Purblack seems to work wonders for others but might not be for me. Do your own research and perhaps give Purblack a try. You can order from Amazon.
Many thanks to Purblack for providing the review product.
