My sister is a 1st and 2nd grade school teacher. It amazes me each year how much of the budget gets cut. In the many years she has been teaching, a lot of the classroom supplies are purchased out of her own pocket.
The California Milk Advisory Board knows how much helping out schools and teachers is needed. Here is how you can help your child’s school win fantastic prizes. From now through December 31st, collect Real California Milk Seals from milk and Dairy products. Turn the seals into the teachers so they may enter the sweepstakes. The more seals turned in, the more chances the school has to win! They could win part of over $2 million in cash, books and prizes. For more information visit Scholastic.

You can find the seals on Real California Milk and Dairy products. Teachers will be provided a special “collection barn” for saving all the seals.
The teacher can enter all the seals to the California Milk Advisory Board.
What they can win – 9 schools will receive cash awards and Wii Fit Games for each child in the winning classroom.
- Grand Prize: 3 winning schools will receive $20,000 plus a Wii Fit™ game for every child in the winning classroom (up to 50)
- 2nd Place: 3 winning schools will receive $10,000 plus a Wii Fit™ game for every child in the winning classroom (up to 50)
- 3rd Place: 3 winning schools will receive $5,000 plus a Wii Fit™ game for every child in the winning classroom (up to 50)
- Runner Ups: 2,595 winning schools will receive $500 prizes
These funds can go a long way! I am sure my sister classroom could use new shiny books to read or paper products for crafting.
The participating elementary schools are in Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Make sure to tell your kids school about the sweepstakes!
